New Visions FAQ

At New Visions for Women, we work with women suffering from issues with alcohol and drug addictions and substance abuse. Treatment will be based upon the addiction counseling competencies: The knowledge, Skills and Attitudes of Professional Practice. Treatment consists of teaching the participant how to appropriately deal with triggers that lead to use and/or drink, as well as building self-esteem and anger management. Our goal is to start them on their journey to a lifetime of sobriety.

We serve women over 18 at New Visions and their families if they decide to become involved. Treatment does work for those who have taken what they have learned and applied it to their daily lives. Women and their families reap these benefits and begin to live different lives. In doing so, it changes family patterns and benefits the whole family.

Treatment staff and you will determine what you need. At intake a thorough assessment is completed. Suggestions will be made by the treatment professionals, as to how to move toward your goals and resolve past issues. This will be documented in the form of a treatment plan with goals and steps to reach these goals.

New Visions can and will help you through the process of assisting you with the right level of care. New Visions is familiar with the referral process for any needs that might not be met by New Visions.

While you are a client at New Visions you will be recovery planning and updating that plan on a monthly basis. The recovery plan helps you move from where you are, to where you want to be, and the steps you will to take to get there. Should you feel as though something is not working for you, you are encouraged to present your ideas and together we will find the best solution to meet your needs.

New Visions staff are registered or certified with the state as addiction counselors. We have over 30 years of combined experience working in the treatment field. The staff continues to gain knowledge and skills through continuing education units yearly.
