The collaboration between Central Valley Recovery Services (CVRS) and Adventist Health Tulare and Hanford is a dynamic, ongoing partnership. This collaboration has been evolving over the past several years and has become an essential component of helping bridge the gap between medical care and substance abuse treatment. At its core, the collaboration aims to ensure that patients in need of substance abuse treatment receive the right care at the right time. Substance abuse disorders are complex and often require a multidisciplinary approach for effective treatment. CVRS specializes in addiction recovery, providing various services, from residential to outpatient treatment. By working together, these two organizations can provide a more seamless experience for patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive, well-coordinated care that addresses both their medical and mental health needs. One of the key elements of this collaboration is the rotation system for resident doctors from Adventist Health Tulare and Hanford. By visiting CVRS facilities two to three times, these doctors gain direct exposure to the day-to-day activities of treatment. They get to sit in on assessments to make sure clients met medical necessity for treatment, individual sessions, and groups. The rotational collaboration between Central Valley Recovery Services and Adventist Health Tulare and Hanford is a critical component of providing effective, integrated care for individuals battling substance abuse. By allowing Resident doctors to immerse themselves in the treatment process, gain firsthand knowledge of different recovery approaches, and better understand the intricacies of addiction care, the partnership ensures that patients are referred to the right services at the right time. This collaboration leads to more informed, compassionate care, and ultimately helps improve the chances of recovery for those struggling with addiction. With this collaboration, the doctors who come through our programs know where to send patients when they are in need of residential services.
